We all love wearing prints be it tartan, polka dots or Gingham and when it comes to summer that one print becomes our wardrobe staple yeah you got me I’m talking about “floral print” atleast I can’t spend a single summer without it.
Summer fashion is always incomplete without that cute floral outfit and this summer is no different. Botanical print is not new to the fashion lovers but it definitely regenerates itself every year with unique patterns and embellishments.
Now you know what’s trending this summer but the question is how to do it right! To ace that ultimate floral look this time please keep reading.
Floral print 2018
As we see botanical prints making fashion statement every single year like it or not this is one of the hottest trend of this season, but there are still some changes designers bring which makes it a completely different piece than the usual floral print which we see hanging on the walls of our wardrobe. If you could recall the fashion shows of spring/summer 2018, Dolce & Gabbana sent the models down the runway in big red roses on dark background also Gucci came up with vintage inspired look so from there one thing is sure that floral print is going bigger this time with bold, gaudy and retro pattern like in the 70’s and my today’s look is also inspired by them.
I have tried floral in every way but one thing I never did was pairing floral with floral when it came into my mind I searched everywhere right from Pinterest to Google but couldn’t find anything interesting to take cue from and eventually I was losing it but then I decided to give it a go because ultimately my job is to experiment with new things to make unusual things possible and that’s what a fashion influencer should think like. Trust me I got more compliments for my outfit than ever before and that has really uplifted my confidence to think something out of the box and stop playing safe every time.
I opted for a floral shirt( pattern like in the 70’s) and a pleated floral skirt (trending like fire) to get that floral with floral look. If you take a closer look you’ll see that both the top and the bottom are same print but they are different in pattern. Always look for the structure before pairing also color contrasting is really important to make things look good.
If you are a trend setter and really want to get that floral look this season than go for patterns that usually look not so wearable like the structure of your bed sheet or your old floral cusion cover as designers are turning the most unlikely into lovable ( follow the fashion shows spring/summer 2018) look for big and bold flower pattern with dark hues, grasp the retro pattern and you are good to go.
So, what do you think about my floral with floral look! do you care to join me in this floral journey if yes than please don’t forget to let me know in the comment section also you can direct message me at my Instagram hamdle @fashion_peopleandplaces
Don’t follow but create, experiment with your look and things will change like never before. It’s really important to be versatile with your style, bring new things on the table remember what we are wearing today are experimented and created by someone before so why not be that “someone” and create something new.
